Mister Twister Class of Fun (2012)

Mister Twister Class of Fun, based on the successful books by Mirjam Oldenhave, has been adapted for film. Casey is a student teacher who gets his very first placement in year 5b. He is not sure how to teach yet, but thankfully the children are more than willing to help him. Mister Twister Class of Fun is a feel good family film by director Barbara Bredero.

Tobias has never got on very well with his teacher, Miss Sanne. Homework, detentions and frequent trips to the principal’s office where even more punshments await him; why does school have to be such a drag?? But when Miss Sanne suddenly goes on maternity leave, Tobias and his classmates are delighted to find the brilliantly eccentric Mr Casey in her place. Young, funny, a little shy, but like the best big brother you ever had, this new teacher turns everything they ever thought they knew about school completely upside down. Lessons have never been so entertaining! However, with the rule obsessed principal prowling the corridors and a school inspection coming up, how much longer can the fun last? Although Tobias blossoms with Mr Casey, Casey notices that something is not right with Tobias. He never brings packed lunch, for instance. That is because his father is dee-ee-ay-dee and his mother spends all day in bed. Mr Casey takes Tobias under his wing. He shares his mother’s delicious egg sandwiches with him, takes Tobias out to the arcade and lets him stay on for ‘detention’. Ms Dreus, the stern headmistress, is not impressed…
