International sales agent Incredible Film today announces its slate of scripted features for Marché du Film. The company continues to scale up its multi-genre, high-concept portfolio of feature films including romantic comedies and drama. This year, its Cannes slate features the romantic comedy Out of Luck (86’), starring Ryan Brown (Home and Away), and Running for Love.
New feature Out of Luck, which had its domestic release in the Netherlands earlier this month, follows the story of spoilt Annabel, who loses her inheritance, her home and her relationship in one disastrous night. And to make matters even worse, her night ends in a jail cell. After reaching rock bottom, Annabel realizes it’s time to get her life together. But torn between two men, two identities and numerous lies, this may be easier said than done.
Out of Luck is partly set at Cannes Film Festival, where it will be screened on the 15th May. The film stars Ryan Brown (Home and Away, Everything I Know About Love, Deep Water) and Abbey Hoes (The Hitman’s Bodyguard).
Incredible Film will also present the drama Running for Love with a screening on 16th May. Following the death of her husband, Vera is determined to fulfill his bucket list. She signs herself and her three daughters up for a marathon, but busy with their own lives, her daughters are not enthusiastic about the idea. However as they join their mother to achieve her goal, what begins as a physical challenge quickly becomes an emotional journey for the women. Ahead of the Cannes screening, the film will premiere in the Netherlands on 8th May.
This year’s market will see Incredible Film present its expanding range of high quality, commercially-driven features with strong international appeal.
Daniëlle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film says “We are delighted to present Out of Luck and Running for Love at this year’s Marché du Film.
