International sales agent Incredible Film today announces two new films from Dutch director James Aattache, Coppers and The Gringos 2 (De Tattas 2) and, which will feature on the distributor’s slate for EFM, alongside the fantasy family feature film Game On.
Incredible Film will introduce the new action-comedy Coppers, featuring an all-star cast including Melisa Aslı Pamuk (Endless Love), Daphne Deckers (Tomorrow Never Dies), Saïd Boumazoughe (Rebel) and international model, Rose Bertram. The film follows streetwise detectives Sino and Mo as they track down a major cocaine smuggling operation, using their unique worldly working methods to crack the case. But when Sino’s wife Esra becomes entangled in the case, they must do everything they can to save their jobs and family. The dynamic action-packed comedy premiered in Dutch cinemas on 1st February 2024 (ranked #1 in openings weekend), and adds to Incredible Film’s slate of varied, cross-genre content for global audiences.
Following the huge success of The Gringos 2’s domestic release with over 500,000 cinema admissions so far, Incredible Film, which this year marks its 15th anniversary, will present the film to international buyers. The Gringos 2, which was named the second most visited Dutch film in 2023, is a sequel to De Tattas, both directed by Jamel Aattache.
Featuring a diverse global cast, the comedy revisits the Van Kampen family who have just settled in their new neighbourhood and once again find themselves in a tricky situation, when they discover their home is about to be demolished. To make matters worse, Erik’s father, aka. Chief Gringo, comes to live with them, and the life the family has carefully built is thrown off balance. Appealing to international audiences, the film stands out in the Dutch market as an authentically diverse comedy. The trailer is available here.
The distributor will also introduce the family feature film Game On from its selection of kids and family content. Game On is directed by Roy Poortmans (The Smart Family) and merges reality with the gaming world, when an evil AI takes control of a newly opened arcade. To save the world, 9 of the world’s top gamers must battle through 5 real life game levels in order to defeat the AI. Game On features stunning visual effects by leading artist and founder of Machine Eleven, Angelo White (Snow White and The Huntsman, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes). The trailer is available here.
