Iris, an ambitious and highly successful lawyer, has a hard time balancing her role as a single mother and her high-flying career. One day, while staying at her mother’s house, she stumbles upon a dark family secret. She turns out to have a brother, whose existence has always been carefully concealed. Ray, who is autistic has spent the last twenty years in a detention clinic, convicted for the gruesome murders of his neighbour and her baby girl. Iris takes her brother’s case to heart, not in the least because she sees striking and frightening similarities between him and her son Aron.
