Enough! (2016)

Violence never makes sense

This film sharply and sensitive addresses the topic of senseless violence.

What do you do when your best friends start hanging out with the wrong crowd? Sander has known Chris and Maarten his whole life, but when they start going to a different school, tough guy Emiel joins the group. Sander tries to like him, but it is not easy because Emiel can get rather violent. Sander’s love life is not going well either. He likes a girl in his class called Indra, but he thinks she already has a boyfriend. Similarly, she thinks he is already spoken for. When an afternoon with his friends gets out of hand and someone gets hurt, they try to pin the blame on Sander. Can he stand up to peer pressure, or will he refuse to betray his friends? How can he prove his innocence before he loses all his friends – and Indra?

ENOUGH is all about how friendship and love change as you grow up, but it also deals with handling peer pressure when the wrong kind of friends threaten to upset the balance of your safe world.

ENOUGH! is based on a novel of Carry Slee. Just like the anti-bullying film Regret, which was awarded many times, including the Young Audience Award.
